BETHESDA, MD—The nation’s largest network of primary care providers, Community Health Centers (CHCs), will gather on August 17-19 in Chicago, IL, for the 2025 CHI Community Health Conference & EXPO. The national gathering, hosted by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), comes as CHCs serve a record-breaking number of patients at nearly 34 million – more than ever in their 60-year history. CHCs’ reach spans more than 17,000 sites across rural, urban, suburban, frontier, and tribal communities, and is powered by a workforce of more than 326,000. Even as CHCs mark a historic anniversary milestone, future sustainability remains uncertain. CHCs are confronting major financial challenges after the recent enactment of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” and their federal funding expires at the end of September.
The annual NACHC conference brings together nearly 3,000 CHC leaders from across the nation alongside more than 180 exhibitors representing the full healthcare spectrum. Attendees will explore groundbreaking care delivery models that put patients first, including food as medicine initiatives and chronic disease management initiatives. Strategic sessions will also address the safe and responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into clinical practice.
The dynamic slate of General Session speakers includes:
Brian Anderson, MD, CEO, Coalition for Health AI (CHAI)
Asaf Bitton, MD, MPH, Associate Professor, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School
Thomas J. Engels, Administrator, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health & Human Services
Cara V. James, PhD, President and CEO, Grantmakers in Health
Dariush Mozaffarian, MD, MPH, Director of the Food is Medicine Institute, Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy
Julie Morita, MD, President and CEO, The Joyce Foundation
Maria S. Pesqueira, President, Healthy Communities Foundation
Amy Weaver, JD, CEO, Direct Relief
